A Heavy-Duty Beast of a Pressure Washer!
Electric pressure washers are extremely convenient, easy to maintain, and usually powerful enough to tackle most cleaning jobs in and around the house. However, if you plan on having something that will help you clean your driveway a gas-powered pressure washer is an absolute must.
To produce this pressure washer Simpson has teamed up with Honda. Simpson rates among the top pressure washer brands in the industry, and Honda (it goes without saying) is synonymous with high-quality motors of all kinds including those designed for pressure washers.
Unlike some of the units on my website which are neatly tucked away into specially designed housings, this pressure washer looks heavy-duty. And it is!
Features and Specifications
The MSH3125-S is not a plastic “gadget”, but a full-sized heavy-duty device which is reflected in its dimensions. The unit measures 20 x 25 x 34 inches. I’ve noticed that most pressure washers are vertically oriented, but this one has a horizontal design. Adding to the heavy-duty approach is the weight of 72lbs.
The main reason for the weight is down to the Honda GCV190 engine which has a displacement of 190cc. The engine is surrounded by a tubular welded steel frame made out of 16-gauge, 1 1/4-inch steel. The unit also has 0.475-gallon gas tank. To make it somewhat easier to move around are the pneumatic tires which are double sealed (perfect for rough terrain).
When I saw this machine, I expected it to be very powerful due to its design. Fortunately my expectations were met, and then some! The unit delivers a massive 3100 PSI as well as a 2.5 GPM. These figures won’t give commercial pressure washers a run for their money. However, as far as non-commercial cleaners are concerned this one is hugely powerful making it capable of cleaning the most stubborn stains and dirt. Stuff like oil stains which are notoriously hard to clean are a breeze with this pressure washer. In fact, you’ll have to be careful of where you point the jet simply because of the sheer power.
The washer comes with a 25-foot hose which is enough for cleaning the most difficult to reach spots. You get a total of five different nozzles that can be attached to the wand. These include 0, 15, 25, and 40-degree angle nozzles as well as a soap tip. This range is more than enough to tackle all types of cleaning needs. The unit also comes with a detergent siphoning tube, although you do have to remember you should only use a detergent that is pressure-washer specific.
Robust and Durable
When you take into account the tubular steel frame, heavy-duty transport wheels, and the immensely powerful Honda engine it is easy to conclude that this pressure washer is an absolute cleaning monster! Aside from that, it is also very reliable so you can operate it in all conditions and on any type of terrain.
The only place you can’t use it is indoors since it is a gas-powered unit, and the fumes can be harmful when inhaled. Last but not least, it comes with a Child Safety Lock. After all, the last thing you need is a powerful jet of water in your child’s face!
I do my best not to be biased when posting my reviews, but this really is an impressive pressure washer. Unlike competing models which are usually made out of plastic, this unit features a tubular steel design and powerful Honda engine which is built to last.
Weight shouldn’t be an issue due to the heavy-duty pneumatic wheels , and five different pressure nozzles allow you to adjust the wand to fit the cleaning task at hand. If you run an auto repair shop, and you find yourself losing the battle with oil and grease stains I think this is the answer to all your problems. If you’re excited at the prospect of finally doing away with oil and grease stains, you can find this model on Amazon at a great price.Further Information
