The Most Powerful and Versatile Residential Pressure Washer
I have always enjoyed washing and detailing my car. To me, it’s like one of those Zen gardens where you rake sand. That’s not my thing, but getting my car spotless is. However, I can’t always put the time in to do it. Luckily, with the help of a pressure washer I can get my car clean again in no time. I don’t know about you, but I find pressure washers extremely fun and easy to use.
Basic Info and Specs
First of all, this pressure washer is built around a 212cc OHV engine which is manufactured by Generac themselves, and produces a massive 3100 PSI and 2.8 GPM water output. If you don’t already know, 3100 PSI is commercial pressure washer territory which is no surprise really considering the motor built into the engine is the largest and most powerful in its class.
Since gas-powered pressure washers tend to be a lot bigger and heavier they come with transport wheels. This one is equipped with 11-inch run-flat wheels. The wheels, along with a 30-foot PVC hose allow you to reach even the most remote areas. For maximum versatility you get three different nozzles: 0, a 25-degree and soap nozzle. The unit also has a drainable detergent reservoir that can hold 0.75 gallons of detergent.
One of the features I haven’t seen on other pressure washers is the presence of a control panel which allows you to make instantaneous adjustments. At the center is the power dial that allows you to choose one of four different cleaning modes.
All you have to do is select the mode of operation and the unit will adjust the pressure and water flow to fit the task. Easy! The device also features axial cam pump technology.
In order to direct all the pressurized water you get a spray gun which comes with a cushion grip and a reverse trigger plus you get a rear hose connection, making this pressure washer a breeze to use. One of the main advantages gas-powered pressure washers have over their electric counterparts is their mobility because they’re not limited by wires.
As I’ve already pointed out, the 6602 features an axial cam pump. These pumps are ideal for residential pressure washers, and are a cheaper than triplex plunger pumps. The only thing you need to be mindful of is their maintenance. When used and maintained properly, axial pumps can last for years.
The three nozzle tips you get with this pressure washer allow you to tackle just about any household cleaning task. In my opinion, this model is probably the best when it comes to car washing. Why? Because of its innovative PowerDial technology which lets you switch seamlessly between soap and 25-degree nozzle tips which are the ones you use to wash a car. You no longer have to stop in order to change the attachment. If you’re wondering the zero degree nozzle is reserved for tougher cleaning jobs.
Some safety features are necessary, and are usually there to protect the user. But what about the unit itself? This one comes with an alert system that uses LED indicator lights to notify the user in case of low water pressure or if the engine is running low on oil. Both of these are great since there is literally no chance of anything going wrong with the engine (as long as you keep these two in check).
I don’t know where to start because there is so much to like about this pressure washer. There is the hugely powerful motor however, the centerpiece of this unit is the PowerDial technology which should be on every pressure washer if you ask me!
I have yet to see a more practical and convenient system. The alert system is also something every manufacturer should consider installing (again, in my opinion). There has never been a more efficient way of washing your car, and so much more. If you are interested in getting one (and you should be), Amazon always has great deals on this type of power tool.Further Information
